ORLANDO, FLORIDA, October 20, 2021 – FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival (FSHFF), presented by FEAR FILM Studios, announces the film lineup for its 16th edition. With its proud tradition of screening some of the best independent horror films from around the world, horror fans will be thrilled at the lineup of films gracing the silver screen Halloween Weekend at the Epic Theaters in Orlando, Florida. This years lineup includes a diverse array of locally produced Florida films and International Blockbusters. 

The program will include 30 films from 7 different countries with themes that include giant monsters, bust out loud funny dark comedies, and intense dramatic scares. Even during these trying times, filmmakers are still creating incredible art that goes far beyond what Hollywood could ever produce. Independent horror and independent film in general is alive and well. 

FREAK SHOW’s Narrative Competition showcases extraordinary work from breakout independent voices and distinguished filmmaking talent. These films will vie for the our famous FREAKY Award in 11 different categories including Best Feature, Best Screenplay, Best Short, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

2021 Narrative Feature Film Selection:

THE GIRL IN CABIN 13, directed by Brendan Rudnicki (United States) A seemingly carefree night for a social media influencer turns into an evening of dread as she discovers three masked men stalking her from outside her secluded cabin. With Chloe Rhoades, Stuart Maxheimer, and Reggie Johnson.

ICE NINE KILLS – THE SILVER STREAM, directed by Myles Erfurth (United States) Spencer Charnas and his fellow band members of the band Ice Nine Kills are stalked and hunted by a masked psychopath during their covid-19 livestream concert hosted by none other than Bill Moseley. With Bill Moseley and Spencer Charnas.

ZERO AVENUE, directed by Daniel Frei (United States) A desperate nerd hires an unsuspecting dominatrix on his birthday, setting up a series of role plays designed to convince her she is his mother reincarnate… and she deserves revenge. With Braeson Herold and Allison Siko.

A COMEDY OF HORRORS VOLUME 1, directed by Matt Servitto, Dan DeLuca, Jamie Nash, Ken Arnold, Nick Tucker and Taylor Hamilton (United States) A horror comedy anthology. Imagine if your just a kid and your substitute teacher shows up to read from her favorite book about clowns-puppets-princesses-voodoo sfx masters and murderous bridesmaids. Not your typical day in pre-k! With Henry ZeBrowski, Matt Servitto, Addie Weyrich, Ken Arnold, Dan DeLuca, Jimmy Bellingers, and Jaci Jones.

ABYSSAL SPIDER, directed by Joe Chien (Taiwan) People are trapped on a boat and attacked by a gigantic arachnid sea monster – can 2020 get any worse? With Jen-Shuo Cheng, Chia-Yen Ko, Lee-zen Lee, and Sunny Wang.

THE PARKER SESSIONS, directed by Stephen king Simmons (United States) A troubled young woman with a disturbing past goes to see a counselor about her night terrors. With Rachell Sean and Danny James.

A SAVANNAH HAUNTING, directed by William Mark McCullough (United States) A SAVANNAH HAUNTING is a film based on real supernatural phenomena the writer/director and his family experienced in their home in Savannah for decades. The film was shot on location at the actual haunted house. The filmmakers attempted to capture the subtle, creepy fear that afflicted the real residents of the home. With Gena Shaw, Dean J. West, Tommi Rose, and Simbi Kali.

TWO WITCHES, directed by Pierre Tsigaridis (United States) A matriarchal witch passes on her sinister inheritance to her grand-daughter, triggering horrific curses. With Rebekah Kennedy, Kristina Klebe, Danielle Kennedy, and Belle Adams.
