‘CREEP’ – HORROR VEIN Podcast #57

It’s FRIDAY! What does that mean? It’s mean another exciting episode of your favorite horror podcast HORROR VEIN! With your hosts with the mosts Robert Massetti and Don Fisher.

This week, we review the sort of found footage thriller ‘CREEP’ released in 2014 directed by Patrick Brice. The film stars Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice. We also talk about the film ‘Unhinged’ starring Russel Crowe. A film Don has been talking about since it was released back in May of last year. Here is a synopsis of this weeks film: Struggling videographer Aaron accepts an assignment to travel to a remote cabin, where he meets his client Josef. Josef explains that he has an inoperable brain tumor and is expected to die before his pregnant wife Angela gives birth, so he wishes to have Aaron record a video diary for his unborn child. Throughout the day, Josef demonstrates eccentric behavior, such as having Aaron film him in the bath, and seems increasingly attached to Aaron. Aaron discovers a wolf mask in the house, which Josef says that his father used to wear, pretending to be a friendly wolf named Peachfuzz. Later, Josef confesses that he actually raped his wife while wearing the mask. As an increasingly-disturbed Aaron is hindered from departing when he is unable to locate his car keys, he intercepts a phone call from Angela, who reveals that she is actually Josef’s sister and urges Aaron to escape. Josef, however, attempts to stop Aaron from leaving and a scuffle ensues before Aaron gets away.
