Yes, we’re back from a little vacation where Don was able to come down to Florida and visit me! He and his wife were also able to catch HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS at Universal Studios! It was just a great time to take a breather before out really busy season begins here in October!
This week on the HORROR VEIN Podcast, your hosts Robert Massetti and Don Fisher review the classic horror film ‘THE FRIGHTENERS’ directed by Peter Jackson. The film stars Michael J. Fox, Dee Wallace, and Jeffery Combs. Robert and Don also discuss the films ‘MALIGNANT’ by James Wan and the remake of ‘EVIL DEAD’ directed by Fede Alvarez.
Here is a synopsis of the film: Once an architect, Frank Bannister (Michael J. Fox) now passes himself off as an exorcist of evil spirits. To bolster his facade, he claims his “special” gift is the result of a car accident that killed his wife. But what he does not count on is more people dying in the small town where he lives. As he tries to piece together the supernatural mystery of these killings, he falls in love with the wife (Trini Alvarado) of one of the victims and deals with a crazy FBI agent (Jeffrey Combs).
