CAVEAT – Horror/Thriller
Written and Directed by Damian McCarthy
The 2020 FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival kicks off this Halloween weekend in Orlando, FL. The festival is celebrating 15 years of screening the top independent horror films from around the world. ‘CAVEAT’ is one of the feature films screening at the festival and it’s a film that needs to be seen by any horror genre fan.
‘CAVEAT’, a horror film produced in Ireland, tells the story of a lone drifter who suffers from partial memory loss. He accepts a job to look after a psychologically troubled woman in an abandoned house on an isolated island.
Now, I must say that the festival is loaded this year with truly great independent horror films and ‘CAVEAT’ is among the best in the festival. This film is truly riveting from start to finish. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. It’s masterfully directed by Damian McCarthy who creates a forbidding atmosphere throughout the film with truly terrifying moments. Damian is definitely a director to keep an eye on.
I can’t recommend this film enough. It’s been a long time since an independent horror film truly had me on the edge of my seat. Horror fans should run not walk to the movie theater to see this film. Thumbs Up! Five Stars! The highest rating I could give to a film! It’s a MUST SEE!
If you are so lucky to live in the Orlando, FL area, the film is screening HALLOWEEN at Epic Theaters Lee Vista. The FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival runs October 30-31, 2020. Don’t miss this festival!
