‘SCREAM’ or ‘SCREAM 5’ as some are calling the movie but the official title is just ‘SCREAM’ released it’s first movie trailer. The film is scheduled to be released only in theater on JANUARY 14, 2022.

For those of you that have been waiting patiently over the year when it was announced that a NEW ‘SCREAM’ movie was in the works, we finally get our first look at the return of GHOSTFACE. In the trailer we get to see some NEW faces and ones that have been familiar to those who are fans of the franchise, particularly the return of Sydney Prescott played by Neve Campbell. We also get Courtney Cox and David Arquette returning to the franchise as well.

From the looks of the trailer, it seems they are sticking to the ‘SCREAM’ formula with a killer dressed in the GHOSTFACE costume killing new victims who are related to characters in earlier SCREAM movies.

For me, as a fan of the franchise I love the fact that GHOSTFACE is back. But I was hoping with NEW directors at the helm they might take the franchise in a NEW direction. It looks like the same movie only different actors which I hoping the actual movie may take a different tone. I guess I will have to wait and see when the movie is released this January.
